The Egypt Traffic e-portal has launched a service enabling citizens to pay vehicle traffic fines. Crucially, anyone can pay these fines, not necessarily the vehicle owner. This service is particularly useful if the vehicle owner is unfamiliar with the steps to complete the process. Thus, another person can settle fines for a vehicle registered under a different owner. This can be done through the following steps:
* Access the Masr Digital Portal (Egypt Digital Portal) and click on the ‘Electronic Services’ button from the top navigation bar.
* After clicking this button, a set of options will appear. Click on the ‘My Vehicles’ button.
* An icon named ‘Pay Vehicle Fines for Another Owner’ will appear as the second-to-last option.
* Fill in the required details, which include the other owner’s name, their national ID number, the vehicle’s plate number, phone number, date of birth, and vehicle license number.
* The total amount of fines due for payment will then appear on your screen.
* You can then make the payment electronically through the digital platform of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which offers flexible payment options.
