Topeka, Kansas (WIBW) – Vice President J.D. Vance is in the capital today.
Vance’s visit follows a rally by President Donald Trump in Park City supporting Marshall (pictured right), who will face Adam Hamilton (Democrat) in the Senate race.
Today marks the Vice President’s second visit to Kansas this election cycle, following his previous stop in Olathe in September.
During the rally, the Department of Agriculture announced that millions in grants would go to 10 meatpacking facilities in Kansas.
Vance also showed his support for Marshall for the Senate seat.
Hamilton issued a statement on Monday, ahead of Vance’s visit, inviting him to a worship service at his church and calling on Marshall to “address policies that harm Kansas families and farmers.”
