الناقد الرياضي محمد أبو علي لـ«في الاستاد»: الأهلي يتجه لتجميد ياسر إبراهيم.. ومحمد هاني لا يمانع التجديد

On Monday, Mohamed Abdel Wahab ‘Hoba’ hosted sports critic Mohamed Abu Ali on his program ‘Fil Istad’ (In the Stadium) on Nogoum FM radio, to discuss the most prominent events on the sports scene.
Mohamed Abu Ali stated: “Any player, when renewing their contract, should not complicate matters for themselves to avoid diminishing their market value. Due to his recent stances, several clubs, such as Pyramids, have decided against entering negotiations with him. The football management also refuses the idea of signing him, or perhaps he prefers to seek offers from abroad. As a player, he has damaged his own prospects; he should act professionally and apologize to the fans, as he is the one who stands to lose in all that is happening, and he must recognize his standing as an influential player.”
He then addressed the issue of contract renewal negotiations for Mohamed Hani and Yasser Ibrahim, clarifying: “There is resentment towards Yasser Ibrahim because, despite his good relationship with all players, he decided not to renew with Al-Ahly. This decision came after he rejected an offer from Saudi Al-Shabab that was for an incredible sum, while he feels the club isn’t offering him appropriate financial compensation. There is a tendency within Al-Ahly to sideline him and not field him in upcoming matches, especially since the player is not initiating contact with officials for renewal. Consequently, Al-Ahly does not want to develop the player for the benefit of other clubs, and the club might sell him in January if a strong offer is received, to capitalize on the transfer.”
He added: “Players’ mindset has completely changed from what it used to be. Mohamed Hani, however, is open to renewal and has already met with Captain Sayed Abdel Hafiz. Although there’s a disagreement in negotiations, both parties may reach an agreement soon.”
Regarding the management of football affairs at Al-Ahly Club, he clarified: “Mahmoud El Khatib was previously in charge of football, but a management team is currently overseeing this file, led by Yassin Mansour and Sayed Abdel Hafiz, with El Khatib still consulted on many issues. There are no unilateral decisions made within this board; football affairs are currently progressing well by restoring stability to the locker room, and all matters ultimately fall under El Khatib’s leadership.”
